Will is very proud to be a part of the incredible and supportive team at Visit Charlotte.  He represents Charlotte, North Carolina aka the Queen City to organizations in the metro DC area. He has been in the hospitality industry for nearly 10 years and has represented four different destinations. He received his CMP designation this past year.  He has been a MPI member for six years, but he started his membership with the Georgia Chapter.

In December 2005, he transferred to the Potomac Chapter and quickly became involved with the Member Care committee. He has served as a co-chair and the Board Director of Member Care, and then he was moved into an unknown territory of Marketing. After growing into his position with that team, he returned to Membership as the Vice President.  His next big step is preparing to lead the chapter in 2012-13 by serving this year as President-Elect.

Will has been very fortunate to have some incredible mentors and colleagues over the years including Kathy McAdams, Scott Williamson, David McAuley, Kim Allison, and his current partner-in-crime Rebecca Waxler-Ramsey.

PMPI has become a second family to Will.  Plus, he attributes many of the skills that he has acquired over the last several years to his work with the Potomac Chapter.  These abilities have helped to advance his career and grow him into a true industry professional.

Favorite Entertainment: Self-proclaimed pop culture junkie - loves TV and movies so much I can’t pick just one show or movie!

Definition of Leadership: Leadership is having passion and a strong vision of an organization’s greatest potential.  Through encouragement and nurturing, a leader taps into the strengths of those with which he surrounds himself to reach the collective’s goals.  A leader also foster growth in others so they too can become leaders.
