Kumi Anzalone, CASE currently serves as the National Convention Sales Manager for the Greater Raleigh Convention & Visitors Bureau, based in their Washington DC Area Sales Office. Her past experience includes direct marketing and sales responsibilities for the province of Alberta, Canada, the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau and as the International Program Manager for the North Carolina Division of Tourism, Film & Sports Development. Kumi joined PMPI in 2005 and began working with the Member Care team. From 2007-2009, she served as the Co-Chair for the Member Care Committee and received the “Star Award” in September 2007. Kumi earned her Certified Association Sales Executive (CASE) designation in 2006. Additionally, Kumi is a member of PCMA and serves on the Capital Chapter Community Outreach Committee, and is a previous member of the PCMA Philadelphia chapter. Kumi is also a member of AMPs, ASAE and DMAI.

Jaime Barnhart, CMP is the Director of Conferences for the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA). Prior to AMSA, she was the Conference and Events Manager at the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA) and a Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. Jaime earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation in January 2007. She is the coordinator and an instructor for PMPI's CMP Study Course. Jaime served as the PMPI Strategic Events Committee Co-Chair. When she is not working, Jaime spends time with her husband and daughter, who keeps her very busy.

Yoko Huekels is the Associate Director of Group Sales for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Groups, representing the brand’s portfolio of hotels to clients based in Mid Atlantic Region. Upon graduating from the Hotel Administration program at Cornell University, Yoko began her career at the Willard InterContinental Hotel. She also has worked for the Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples as Director of National Accounts and most recently opened DC office for Prestige Resorts & Destinations as the Regional Director of Sales. Yoko has been a member of MPI and PMPI since 2004 and has served as the board liaison for Chapter Special Interest Groups and co-chair of Member Care Committee. Yoko is a recipient of PMPI Rising Star Award (2006-2007) and Supplier of the Year (2007-2008) as well as PCMA Capital Chapter President’s Award (2007) Yoko, who travels extensively, is always up for an adventure!

Rebecca is a two-time graduate of The George Washington University for both Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Tourism Administration. In 2008, she earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation. Rebecca is currently the Director of Communications and Meetings for the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) in McLean, VA. Her background includes meetings, special events, fundraising, audio visual sales and hotel operations since 2003. Rebecca has been very involved in Meeting Professionals International, Potomac Chapter since 2004. She has served as chair and committee member for various committees including MACE Strategic Events, MACE Sponsorship, MACE Exhibits and Strategic Alliances Site Selection. Rebecca joined the PMPI Board of Directors in June 2009 and serves as Board Director for Member Care and its committees including Member Recruitment, Member Engagement, Member Retention, and the Ambassador Program.

Breanne Hyland Dunn began her employment with The Hyland Group in 2005 as National Sales Manager in Washington, DC and was promoted to Director of Sales in 2007. Previously, she served as Sales Manager with Marriott Hotels working in the Washington, DC area market. Breanne has been a member of PMPI since 2005 as well as the Women's Leadership Committee (WLC) and served as co-chair for the WLC in 2007-2008 and again in 2008-2009. She is also a member of AMPS. When Breanne is not at work, she spends time with her husband and is back and forth between Charlottesville and Norfolk visiting family. She is a graduate of Radford University with a degree in Business Administration, Marketing.

Linda Minor, CMP is a Senior Meeting Manager at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). Linda has been at ACOG since May of 2005. Prior to ACOG, she worked at the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and American Statistical Association (ASA). Sally Slater began her career in the sales and marketing industry 21 years ago. Sally has an extensive CVB background and her experience covers all facets of strategic planning, marketing, sales and financial budgeting. Her past positions have included Sales Manager, Department Manager, Acting VP of Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales & Marketing. Shonzia Thompson, CMP is the Meetings Manager for the National Association of Manufacturers and has worked for the NAM for eight years. She began her involvement with PMPI when she joined the marketing committee in 2006, stepping into the co-chair role from 2007-2008. She was a PMPI Rising Star award recipient in 2007. Shonzia received her B.S. in Accounting, with a minor in Business Management, from the University of Maryland University College. Shonzia is a fourth-generation Washingtonian and enjoys her amazing family, including her husband Connie, writing and traveling to new places.

Mary-Kathleen Todd, CMP is currently the Director of special Programs at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). She began her career in meeting management with CASE eight years ago as a senior conference program coordinator. In January 2005, she moved to London to work in the CASE Europe office running their residential conferences and day training seminars. After spending two years in Europe she returned to CASE in Washington, DC to assume her current position. In this role she manages the organization’s three largest annual conferences. Mary-Kathleen received her CMP designation in July 2006. She has been actively involved in both PMPI and the MPIUK chapters of MPI, working with the Strategic Events and Membership committees. She is looking forward to the challenges and rewards of being a part of the PMPI leadership this coming year.

Will is very proud to represent Baltimore aka Charm City to the metro DC area. He has been in the hospitality industry for over 8 years and has represented three different destinations. He has been a MPI member for almost five years, but he started his time in the Georgia Chapter. In December 2005, he transferred his membership to the Potomac Chapter and quickly became involved with the Member Care committee. He has served as a co-chair and the Board Director of Member Care, and then he was moved into unknown territory of Marketing. He was reluctant about this new position but has come to really enjoy this aspect of PMPI. He looks forward to paving the way for our chapter to capitalize on social networking. He has also served as a Director on the Society of Government Meeting Professional’s National Capital Chapter’s Board.

Heather Turner is the Regional Sales Manager for Station Casinos Hotels in Las Vegas, NV. Heather began her hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels and has worked with Wyndham Hotels and the Washington DC, Baltimore, MD and the San Jose, CA Bureau in various sales roles for over the past 18 years. Her current responsibilities with Station Casinos include marketing their hotels as a premier destination to the Mid-Atlantic region ,including District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. She has been a PMPI member since 2007 and a committee member and co chair of Leadership Development . In addition, she is a member with ust Because Networking Group. SGMP, ASAE, NCBMP and PCMA. Heather received her education from Howard University in Washington, DC and currently resides in Columbia, MD with her family.
