Leadership Development Committee
PMPI’s Leadership Development Committee is dedicated to:
- Enhancing the skill and leadership development of PMPI officers and committee members,
- Providing regular training and information sessions targeted to the Board of Directors at monthly board meetings,
- Facilitating two i-Lead programs throughout the year for committee co-chairs to enhance skills for leading volunteers,
- Organizing “on-boarding” for the Board of Directors in the Spring prior to installation,
- Streamlining the transition process from year-to-year to ensure a smooth and efficient handoff of information, responsibilities, and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with determining leadership development topic strategy for the year.
- Work to source guest speakers on specified topics.
- Write articles for PMPI’s magazine and e-newsletter.
- Assist with the development of two i-Lead programs targeted toward Board of Director and committee co-chairs to their enhance leadership skills in a volunteer organization.
- Assist with development of “on-boarding” for the Board of Directors in the Spring prior to installation.
- Partner with other PMPI committees on strategic initiatives.
Time Commitment:
This committee welcomes all levels of involvement – no contribution is too little. The committee holds monthly conference calls to keep everyone up-to-date on activities, with one to two in-person committee meetings per year. Presence and facilitation at leadership development sessions is welcomed and encouraged.
PMPI Story:
It is with much excitement that the Leadership Development Committee is returning for the upcoming year as a way to enhance the leadership skills of PMPI’s Board of Directors and co-chairs. The committee is thrilled to extend the work of the Leadership Task Force to target areas where the leaders of PMPI can further their influence and leadership to benefit the organization and the member experience.
