Strategic Alliances & Site Selection (SASS) Committee
The SASS team is comprised of two committees working together in harmony under one umbrella. The combined mission is to find cash sponsors, in-kind sponsors and venues for all of our chapter events. If you’re not a planner this is the perfect opportunity to see the meeting industry thru their eyes! Broaden your horizon and deepen your industry knowledge but negotiating a contract or going on a site visit. Planners, you know this is just what the doctor ordered, and a super fit for you all!
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate sponsors for professional development and networking events. Coordinate sponsor agreements and ensure accurate sponsorship execution.
- Work in conjunction with other committees to find event venues for PMPI activities and functions.
- Once venue is approved by committee, act as liaison with venue to create the event agreement and manage the overall contracting process.
SASS holds one-hour monthly committee conference calls on the third Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. The overall time commitment for participation on this committee averages 1-2 hours per month.
