With almost 1000 members, the Potomac Chapter is an affiliate of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), the world's largest association of meeting professionals with more than 21,000 members and 67 chapters.

MPI members collectively account for a total of $10.9 billion expended on meetings per year, representing some 610,662 conclaves held throughout the world. These individuals control an average annual budget of $1.4 million and are each responsible for booking at least 1,200 room nights per year.
